Cleveland {OH}
This series of three screenprints reimagines the traffic light—originally invented in Cleveland by Garrett Morgan—as a living, organic structure made of human figures, swarming insects, and dense plant life. Set against the textured, gritty backdrop of Cleveland's urban landscape, each print explores themes of collective movement, labor, and nature's reclamation of infrastructure. By transforming a rigid, mechanical symbol of authority into a breathing, evolving entity, the artwork highlights the living forces and diverse communities that continuously shape and navigate our favorite place.
